Prime Palma

Mallorca for the buyer who wants an island lifestyle without giving up the advantages of a real city.

Prime Palma

Prime Palma includes several very different residential markets: the Old Town and Calatrava, Santa Catalina, the central avenues, Son Armadans, Bonanova, Son Vida and the eastern waterfront around Portixol and El Molinar. What joins them is not architecture but direct access to Palma’s year-round life.

The island’s most complete everyday address.

Who chooses Prime Palma

Palma works particularly well for people who want to walk to restaurants, work from the city, spend relatively short periods on the island or live here permanently without organising every journey around a car.

It is also practical for international families. Bellver College is in the Marivent area and Queen’s College is close to central Palma, while several other international-school options are concentrated in Palma and neighbouring Calvià.

Culture, sport and city life

The advantage is choice. Residents have Palma’s restaurants, cultural institutions, professional services, shops and markets on a year-round basis, while sailing, cycling and the sea remain immediately accessible around the Bay of Palma.

Yet the lifestyles inside Prime Palma differ substantially. An Old Town apartment is about architecture and walkability; Santa Catalina is more socially active; Portixol and El Molinar prioritise the waterfront; Son Vida trades walkability for privacy, land and security.

Connections and practicalities

AENA places Palma airport only 8 km from the city, so approximately 10–20 minutes is realistic for many prime neighbourhoods outside rush hour.

For larger-scale retail, Porto Pi serves the western side of Palma while FAN Mallorca Shopping sits beside the Ma-19 and states that it is around two minutes from the airport. Palma also gives the easiest access to the island’s principal hospitals and specialist medical services.

What to understand before buying

Palma’s compromises are urban ones: parking, neighbouring buildings, street noise, tourism, terraces, deliveries and traffic. In historic buildings, lifts, natural light and vehicle access deserve particular attention.

A property that looks perfect at midday may feel very different at midnight. In Prime Palma, micro-location is decisive: often the correct side of one street is more important than choosing between two neighbourhood names.
